Some of us have spent time in care, bounced around the system, and done time in prisons across the UK — from HMP Hindley and HMP Doncaster to Strangeways (HMP Manchester). We’ve walked those corridors, sat in those cells, and survived those visits. We know what it’s like to wait for a letter, a phone call, a court decision. We understand the pressure it puts on families, the confusion over rights, the fight to stay strong and connected.
